About me
The dynamic team at the Robert Hendershot Agency values the needs of our clients in helping them be prepared for the unexpected. Whether home, auto, life, commercial or farm insurance, your familys peace of mind and security is the top priority to our team members, so dont hesitate to reach out! Throughout my time as your local Bartholomew County agent for more than 28 years, I’ve earned multiple company-sponsored awards, including the prestigious Premier Agent designation. My wife, Cindy, and I live in Columbus where we attend St. Peter Lutheran Church. We have three daughters and two granddaughters. Active in the community, I am a member of the Columbus Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, the Hoosier Hills Estate Planning Council and the Columbus Moose Lodge. A graduate of Columbus High School and Purdue University, I continue to be involved with Purdue University by serving as director of the Delta Chi Educational Foundation.

What is a beneficiary and why is it important?
When my dad Doug passed away unexpectedly in 2017, he left behind two daughters, the family business and a house full of books and Phillies baseball memorabilia. He also had a couple of life insurance policies and an Individual Retirement Annuity (IRA), on which he named my sister and me as the primary beneficiaries.
