(Indianapolis) – Aug. 12, 2025 – Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance is pleased to announce that Brian Pinkins has been hired to serve as director of life operations. 

Pinkins is an Indianapolis native and most recently served as the senior director of operations at OneAmerica Financial. In his new role at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance, Pinkins is responsible for the overall direction of the life operations department. He leads a team of more than 40 employees and oversees life product services, annuity product services, the company’s Life Contact Center and more.

"I'm energized by the chance to empower teams, remove barriers, and foster a culture where creativity and accountability thrive side by side." 

A graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, Pinkins holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He has earned several professional certifications from organizations including the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) and the Life Office Management Association (LOMA). Pinkins also is a graduate of the Black Executive Leadership Program facilitated by The American College of Financial Services.  

Pinkins is committed to community service. He serves on the board of directors for Little Red Door, an Indianapolis-based nonprofit that offers services for cancer patients. He and his family also are members of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Indianapolis. 

Pinkins and his wife, Julie, live in Avon with their daughter, Brooklyn. Together, they enjoy attending Brooklyn’s basketball games and traveling to Las Vegas each year to watch NBA Summer League games. Additionally, Pinkins coaches the Jr. Fever, one of the two travel basketball teams Brooklyn plays on, and he enjoys building custom farmhouse tables and tackling home repair projects.
