About me
As your local Marion County agent, and an ordained minister, I am passionate about mentoring and helping others. Active in our local community, I have volunteered with Vitas Hospice Care for three years and have earned numerous awards for service including: mentor of the year awards from Boys Girls Clubs of America in 2006 and from Freedom Faith Ministries three years in a row (2007-2010) and the 2015 Heart of the Father award from the Fathers and Family Center. I have also been a barber in the Indianapolis area for more than 20 years. My wife, Mare’e, and I live in Indianapolis with our four children: Adiah, Adon, Gionnie and Adam. Outside the office, I enjoy fishing, bowling and spending time with my family. I earned a degree in theology from North Carolina College of Theology and am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership at the University of Indianapolis. Fun ways to stay active and enjoy the outdoors
Old Man Winter is finally gone and now the weather is beckoning us to come outside. There are many benefits to being active, so let’s use the weather as an excuse to get outside and get moving. No matter your age, we should all be moving at least 30 minutes per day. The time you spend being active does not have to feel like a chore. It can be fun and doesn’t have to be exercise; it can simply be playing, exploring or connecting with the people you care about.
