(Indianapolis) – Dec. 3, 2025 – IFBI Community, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance’s corporate volunteering and giving program, is concluding 2025 with Giving Tuesday donations and a record number of employee volunteer hours reported.

To celebrate Giving Tuesday, which occurs each year on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, IFBI Community continued its tradition of awarding $5,000 to three Indiana-based nonprofit organizations. In November, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance employees and agents were able to nominate the nonprofit of their choice, and the organizations that received the most nominations each received $5,000.

To be eligible for the donation, the organizations nominated had to be located in Indiana and classified as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This year, the organizations that received the $5,000 donations were:

  • NWI No Child Hungry, a nonprofit focused on feeding food insecure students in portions of Lake and Porter counties.

  • Southeast Neighborhood School of Excellence ( SENSE), a free, public charter school based in Indianapolis that serves more than 600 students by offering hands-on instruction, arts programs and various extracurricular activities.

  • Southeastern Indiana Economic Opportunity Corporation’s Bev Henry Emergency Fund, a fund the organization uses to provide emergency assistance to residents of Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland and Union counties.

“Our Giving Tuesday initiative allows our team members to have a voice in choosing which organizations receive support, ensuring that our giving reflects causes that matter most to them,” said Kevin Murphy, Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance executive vice president and CEO. “Additionally, the growth we've seen in total volunteer hours this year reflects our employees’ dedication to making a difference in communities across Indiana.”

The IFBI Community program provides employees with allotted volunteer time annually. In 2024, employees across the state volunteered for a total of 4,068 hours with nonprofits and community organizations. When the final volunteer hours are tallied for 2025, the IFBI Community program will have surpassed 2024’s totals and achieved a new record for total hours volunteered.
