MEET THE AGENCY
Inside Story

(Indianapolis) – Feb. 11, 2026 – Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance is proud to announce that Joe Horstman has earned the Governor Agent award, and Andy Briles and his agency’s offices have earned the Governor Agency award.
The Governor Agent award is presented to the company’s top-performing agent of the year. Horstman is now a two-time winner, having earned the Governor Agent title for the first time in 2025. Last year, he also entered the Lifetime President’s Club, which is a recognition for agents who have earned the Top 10 award in 10 separate years with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance.
"Winning this award two years in a row is a testament to the hard work of our Field Operations Associate Diane Cooley and our clients' trust. We do little advertising and rely on community support,” said Horstman. “Our clients keep us busy through referrals from their positive experiences, and we don't take that for granted. From claims to underwriting, our office strives to give clients the best experience possible. We excel in service and the sales follow. I’m thankful for our clients and our team."
Horstman began his career at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in May 2002. He writes policies for clients across the state but primarily serves Hoosiers in Benton, Jasper, Newton, Pulaski, Tippecanoe and White counties.
The Governor Agency award is presented to the agency with the top sales record in the company. The Jasper-Benton-Lake-Newton-Pulaski-White Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance agency has offices in Demotte, Fowler, Lowell, Monticello, Rensselaer, Roselawn and Winamac. Briles, agency manager, attributes their collective success to common goals, collective effort and willingness to put in the work.
“This is not a ‘me’ award. It is a ‘we’ award,” said Briles. “As a team, we are starting to hit our shared goals and see our hard work pay off. It takes every member of our office staff meeting with clients, networking with local business owners and being involved in our communities to see this type of success.”
Briles began his career at Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in 2004 as an agent in Warren County. He was promoted to agency manager in 2014.
