Each year The Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance eXceL Awards (formerly Project XL) challenges 9th-12th grade students to address important social issues through their work in one of six categories: writing, video art, two-dimensional art, three-dimensional art, original music or performance art.

The eXceL Awards are sponsored and funded entirely by Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. There are no entry fees for students or schools.

Secrets was the topic for 2007/2008. Over 3800 entries were submitted in 2007/2008 from 200 high schools in Indiana, as well as from numerous home schools.
